Rachel understands the vulnerability that comes with sharing your story out loud. Rachel creates a place where your hurt, joy, shame, and courage can be explored without judgment. Rachel builds rapport with her clients through warmth, tenderness, and humor.
If you find yourself struggling in your relationship with food or your body, know that you do not need to go through this alone - even if the experience feels isolating. Oftentimes, you may feel like suffering in silence is your only option. If you’ve ever told yourself your struggles with food or your body aren’t ‘enough’ to deserve support - let’s chat.
Rachel practices under the principles of Intuitive Eating, she is a Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned provider, a weight neutral professional who observes the philosophies of body liberation and body respect.
Rachel gets that therapy can be both a science and an art, so she uses evidence based treatment and does continued professional development in frameworks like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She’s also been certified to provide Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
Outside of her professional life, Rachel enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. You might find her embracing a new amateur activity in arts or athletics, just for fun! Wherever she goes, she is usually joined by her beloved (and very goofy) dog, Stevie.
